Artist’s Note: Captured in the shadows of an overcast day and rendered to reflect my vision of it at capture, as if it were floating upon water instead of standing over a patch of greying leaves and unremarkable earth. The base digitograph was taken on an afternoon spent documenting the gardens of my neighbors (with permission, of course), and from a resulting collection of several dozen. This was the first piece done with the particular method of colorizing the background and enhancing the subject, as further exemplified by the related works. |
