Artist’s Note: A small, isolated thunderstorm meanders across northeastern Lincoln County, South Dakota, digitographed from m back porch. There were many such cloud formations throughout the day, but the late afternoon sun made a particular impression on me with this one. I have linked this to “Updraft” and “Above and Beyond” due to my black-and-white layered method for bringing out cloud details, and to “Lincoln County Storm” due to the basic similarity in subject matter, although the retouching methods between the two are dissimilar.
